This project transcends mere visual solutions; it is about the story that underpins it.
CROFT is a small, agile business deeply aware of the stigma surrounding its industry and estate agents. Committed to redefining standards, they prioritise doing things in a manner they believe is right.
With roots in Hastings and St Leonards, the founders possess a profound understanding and appreciation of the area’s architecture, community, and the challenges posed by gentrification. They are dedicated to nurturing the revitalisation of this coastal town while remaining sensitive to its unique, independent character—home to the esteemed Hastings Contemporary Gallery.
Demonstrating a strong social conscience, CROFT allocates a portion of its fees to local services, charities, and organisations that assist individuals experiencing housing vulnerability. Emphasising sustainability, they have implemented a no-print policy. Their office is situated in the Observer Building, a formerly neglected newspaper headquarters now transformed into a collaborative workspace for like-minded creatives and entrepreneurs.
If Foxton’s redefined the estate agency market in the 1990s and The Modern House set new standards in the 2000s, then CROFT represents the dawn of a new era for the 2020s.
